Stone Circle, Folklore Art, Original Drawing
21 × 26cm or 8.2 × 10.2 inches | “The Woodland Stones” - pen and ink on cartridge paper.
Inspired by the Neolithic standing stones and circles that are scattered throughout the British Isles, this piece is my ode to such places, places which I find myself drawn to time and time again.
Meticulously hand-drawn with the fine pen nibs and paintbrushes, this artwork not only captures the smallest details that are found in the landscape but also that intangible folkloric essence which can be so often felt but rarely seen.
The composition of this piece quietly invites the viewer to take a closer look, allowing you to travel through layers of foliage, past leafy trees and into the centre of this work, to visit The Woodland Stones.
Measuring 21 × 26 cm (artwork is 9 × 12.7cm), this original inked artwork is a one-of-a-kind piece housed in a black frame. Signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a folklore story card that tells the tale of this piece.
