Dryad, Tree Spirit Art, Original Drawing

£535.00

31 × 38cm or 12.2 × 15.1 inches | “The Last Dryad” - pen and ink on 200gsm cartridge paper.

Inspired by Greek Mythology and the beautiful tree nymphs and nature spirits, this piece is an ode to the trees, whether they be in a woodland, park, or a busy high street.

I wanted this drawing to capture what I believe to be the true essence of a tree.

Meticulously hand-drawn with fine pens and paintbrushes, I wanted to highlight a time when trees were sacred. To invite the viewer to take introduce themselves to this shy dryad, to look beyond the layers of foliage and decide for themselves if the Last Dryad is a symbol of hope or torment.
